Sojitz korea corporation is a subsidiary of Sojitz Corporation, It's are japanese general trading company founded in 1892. We began operating a liaisonoffice in Seoul after normalization of diplomatic relations between Korea and Japan in 1965. Then, we commenced recommendation and mediation business of trade after registration of Kab-class surrogate business of trade in 1967 upon approval from the Ministry of Commerce and Industry in Apr. 1967


After that we registered a branch corporation after reporting to The Bank of Korea for establishment of a branch office in June 1979. But we failed to get approval for trade business because of the governmental policy to protect local corporations. Then, we have operated business after additional registration of Eul-class surrogate business of trade. But we could have intensified our features and position as a general merchant in Korea by commencing the export business since completion of registration of trade business to The Korea Traders Association thanks to the government's policy for free, door opening to multinational corporations in 1997.

In July 2000 Nissho Iwai Korea has been born again as a new-born overseas field corporation true to its reputation through combination of Nissho, which has been a branch corporation and Nissho Iwai Korea, which has been established/filed in Sept. 1995.

In April. 2004 Nissho Iwai korea corporation, its affiliate of Nissho Iwai corporation will also change the name to Sojitz Korea Corporation.

Sojitz Korea is currently operating Metal & New materials Group, Machinery & information Industries Group, Transportation Equipment Group and Energy, Chemicals Consumer Products Group, Administration/Planning Group and two local offices in Pohang and Kwangyang. We are dealing with merchandise in a variety of industrial sectors such as complex plant, steel, non-steel, machinery, solar-LED industry, automotive, chemicals, consumer products, petroleum product.
